Denim Fit Guide: Favorite Jeans in My Closet
Finding a good fitting pair of jeans can be super challenging. Especially if you’re a busy mom who’s been 14 sizes in the last 2 years (hi, it’s me!). I know so many of us also don’t have time to try stuff on and hate guessing online about sizing. I’m sharing my favorite pairs of denim with details about each to make finding your next pair of jeans so much easier. I’m also sharing where to start if its been awhile since you’ve found a good fitting pair of jeans, my most worn picks and my new denim pick for spring. Plus, my take on washes and what to wear when.
For reference when looking at sizing, I’m 5’5” with a 32” inseam and my “normal” size is a 25.
I’ve also created an entire guide to finding the perfect fit for you including these and many of my other favorite jean options. It includes jeans by style, stretch, price point, wash, lengths and more! Grab your denim fit guide here:
New Denim
I love a season change and generally use one pair of new denim to anchor my capsule wardrobe. This season I’ve been super excited about the wide leg styles which are perfect for chasing toddlers and running errands. I love the relaxed look and that they can be dressed up or down. I’ve had my eye on this Agolde style for months! Its a bit of a splurge (I did find a dupe!) but I love the fit and durability of this brand.
Most Worn Denim
These are the most worn styles in my closet. For each one I’ve shared which seasons I’d wear it, sizing and price point. If I could only buy one pair of jeans, I’d buy the Abercrombie Ultra High Rise 90s Ankle Straight (Medium). If you follow me on instagram, then you know I call these the MAGIC JEANS. This is a versatile pair of jeans that I’ve seen look great on a variety of body types from petite to curvy. The best part about this cut of denim is that it can be worn with ANY shoe - heels, sneakers, loafers, sandals and booties. I also love that the high waist and little bit of stretch at the hips is both flattering and forgiving. At a modest price point (I’ve seen them as low as $53 on sale), these are a great find and even better place to start if you’re haven’t found a good fitting pair of denim in awhile. I have several other regularly worn pairs of denim in my closet that I think you’ll love too and I’m sharing those below!
