Fall Capsule: Splurge vs. Save
Buying fewer better items isn’t always about spending more. Take these jeans for instance: I bought $300, $100 and $22 pairs. I really wanted a to find a pair of ripped jeans that I loved. Turns out the $300 designer jeans didn’t fit my body type and the $100 jeans didn’t hold a candle to the target bomb denim ones for twenty bucks. All that to say, if you’ve considered a capsule wardrobe before and thought it would cost too much, just know that’s not always the case. Its about buying and wearing what you love.
I’ve found that a capsule wardrobe actually saves me money while allowing me to buy fewer better clothing pieces and wear more of whats in my closet. Which, by the way, makes keeping my closet organized and getting dressed a whole lot easier. All that to say, I know each of our spending budgets on clothes is different so I wanted to create a post that gave options for the occassional splurge and the save but also allowed you to curate a fall capsule wardrobe you could be proud of.
SPLURGE:
MOTO JACKET || NEUTRAL SWEATER || FELT HAT || NEUTRAL BOOTIES || CASHMERE SCARF
I always like to disclose what I’ve bought vs what I’ve found and my true thoughts on pieces. The real leather jacket is still on my wish list but TBH the save option that has been an amazing find. In fact, its often on sale. I did splurge on the neutral sweater. I love the felt hat and the neutral booties. I realy like Steve Madden brand shoes and these booties were less during the #nsale so the splurge wasn’t really a splurge for me. Last but not least, this scarf is oh so soft and every scarf I’ve ever bought from Jcrew is phenomenal. That said, this is on my list but I haven’t made the splurge….YET!
