Fall Shoe Round-Up

There are so many cute options for booties, boots and mules this fall. And while I am no fashionista, I am committed to buying fewer better clothing items and believe in the simplicity and power of a capsule wardrobe. If youv’ve missed my fall capsule guide, go here. As part of that, I wanted to share a round up of my favorite shoe basics for your capsule wardrobe this fall. Here are 5 fall staples for your fall clothing line-up:

1.Mules

I love this closet staple for fall. I replaced my worn out pair of mules (literally over 8 years old) during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. They are so comfortable. I love how mules can dress up a basic sweater and jeans outfit.

2. Classic Tennies

I LOVE good pair of classic white tennis shoes. These are in my capsules year round. I am linking a bunch of good options for fall including my new favorites - these classic style reebocks, the ever-popular golden goose shoes, and a mid-range option.

3. Loafers

Another easy flat to dress up jeans and a tshirt. I love these from Jcrew in a leopard print. Remember, leopard is a neutral so its a fun way to add some texture and desing to an other wise neutral outfit.

4. Neutral Booties

These are my favorite purchase from the NSALE and I can’t wait to wear them more. A good neutral bootie is essential for fall and these are perfect for wearing with jeans, sweater dresses and more in both casual and date night settings. And if you want a great guide on how to wear booties, Brighton Butler has the best one around.

5. Heels

A neutral low heel is such a easy way to go from day to night and expand your wardrobe without changing clothes. I love this neutral heel that I’m wearing here but also linking some great vince camuto heels from the Nsale. They come in a variety of colors too.

Other great fall options:

Clogs have made a huge come back this fall and are great as we transition from summer to fall. I also like to consider a “fun” pair of shoes like a pair of patterned booties or unique heels. And you can’t go wrong in the fall with classic birkenstocks.
