Organize: Kitchen Drawers
Today, I’m together some past organization projects to share 10 simple ways that you can organize your kitchen drawers including the products we used and simple tips we’ve learned along the way.

I love using a big deep drawer to organize my storage containers. Before you start make sure each container has a top. Did you know that you can order just hte tops to your tupperware sets? I didn’t. I’m linking this set and those tops here too.
IDK anyone who doesn’t have one of these drawers but it doesn’t have to be a mess. Here we used clear storage trays in the drawer to provide containment for the various kitchen odds and ends. And to make it really pop we lineded the drawer with this glam gold removable wallpaper.
Here we used my client’s own farmhouse-y silverware tray and provided additional containment for serveware by using smaller clear trays to completely tetris the drawer and maximize containment and space.
Kid’s Drawer (“The Nanny Drawer”)
If you have kids, then you need this drawer in your life. This is what I like to call the “nanny drawer.” Basically all the “kid-things” in your kitchen life live here. Mine DOES NOT stay this tidy but I do know that everything kid and baby lives here. Again lined with the gold peel and stick wall paper, we used larger bins to corrall items. This drawer is ever changing like the the needs of the kiddos and these medium size bins do the trick.
Another popular (and often cluttered) drawer in the kitchen is the utensil drawer. By simply dividing the drawer into two parts using a clear drawer divider we created containment for this small space.
For this large silverware drawer we used LOTS of clear storage trays to tetris this drawer into a silverware storing masterpiece. I recommend buying more sizes and trays than you think you need (like double!) so that you have many options and can find the best fit for your drawers and your utensils.
This is my favorite way to store spices. I can see what I need easily and it stays tidy with little effort. We used these jars and decanted all of our spices into the same type of jar to provide uniformity and easy storage. I love how this drawer rolls out so I can see everything at once.
Single Organizer Silverware Drawer
If you have a smaller drawer, a single silverware organizer might do just the trick. Make sure you measure your drawer before you buy and count the number of types of silverware you have vs the number of slots in the organizer to make sure you are getting the best one for you. Here is one in bronze, and my new favorite: bamboo!
I love these drawers! This is my favorite add to our old home. When we moved in, I quickly found that tops, pots and pans were getting lost in the back of our deep shelving. Rather than renovate the whole kitchen (or live with it!), we decided to invest in these retro-fit shelves that you can install yourself. They provided much needed storage and made it easy to get to our pots and pans.
Another favorite kitchen organization spot from our old kitchen! This required only one product (see that tiny clear storage tray for loose tea?). I love that it was positioned near the coffee and mugs and that I could see all of my tea options at once.
