Tommy’s Big Boy Room at Christmas

This post is especially for Julie who wanted a detailed post on his room and I thought, why not? I freaking love how it turned out and am delighted to share. So here are all the details of Tommy’s Big Boy Room at Christmastime:

For Tommy’s room we added a few things to make it feel quite merry. I will link all items (or similar) below so you can replicate in your own home. I got super lucky way back around Halloween and scored many of these holiday items in the Target Dollar Spot.

For his room we added a red plaid stocking at the end of the bed, an adorable Christmas pillow and a flocked tree with white ball garland (plus a stack of kids Christmas books that have been a total hit at bedtime!). Lastly, we swapped the typical neutral blankets at the end of the bed for festive buffalo check ones.

As a base, Tommy’s room is two black iron twin beds (I’m linking the EXACT ones!). They have been great and we also love the mattresses. For bedding we have a white cotton duvet (bleach, please!) and grey ticking stripe sheets. The pillows are linked below and are an olive euro sham and leather 22” square pillow (love them both!).

On the floor, he has a super soft wool rug. I would highly recommend this one or any made of 100% wool or Polypropelene because kids.

When its not the holidays, we have a dual shade lamp between the twin beds that sits on top of this antique toy chest that once belonged to Ty’s grandfather. Its my favorite piece in the room. Above the beds are two self-framed feathers. The frames are just Target black 11x14 frames and I used two of Ty’s turkey feathers as art. I will link similar options below.

We love how Tommy’s room turned out and have found ourselves spending more time in there under the Christmas tree lights. Tell me, do you decorate your kid’s rooms for Christmas?
