Summer 2021 Capsule Wardrobe
I just ordered a few things on Amazon (and a few other of my favorite places) to complete my summer capsule wardrobe so I thought I’d share the handful of items I’m picking to wear this summer.
I love a creating a capsule wardrobe. It makes getting dressed so much easier. A common misconception about capsule wardrobes is you only have a small number of clothes to choose from. Actually, a capsule wardrobe IS flexible. You can have multiple capsules depending on your lifestyle. For example, a workday capsule, a weekend capsule, a vacation capsule. The point is to select a defined group of clothing that coordinates and place it all together in one spot. Mix and match different outfits in advance to make getting dressed even easier.

My summer capsule is simple and small. Mostly a mix of shorts and tanks in neutrals. I included HIGH and LOW options for many of the items. Including these ribbed basic tanks (LOW: Target linked here and HIGH: Madewell linked here). Also, here are the white shorts (HIGH and LOW) and the denim shorts (SPLURGE and MID RANGE), the sweater summer top (HIGH and LOW), and these adorable braided heels (HIGH and LOW). I tried all of them on and think both are great options.
Splurge vs Save
Psst — I have both the Madewell ribbed tank in white and the Target ribbed tank in black and olive. I tried the Target white tank and it was a little thin for me so decided to pay up for the Madewell tank. It was worth it as its a little more opaque.
Affordable Amazon Finds
What started this whole post is the affordable things I found on Amazon. These hair clips are a perfect throw back to the 90s and I’m SO GLAD they are back in style. I think this purse is adorable and can’t wait to wear it to a few upcoming parties we are going to. Last but not least, I love this affordable sweater tank. These are so very 90s fashion and I love that this one is under $20.
